This image was created for the first edition of „THE BRAIN
PROJECT 2006 – BORDERS“ and as it is always the case if I am given a
“theme”, refusal was the only road to take in order to get somewhere.
So I construed something floating, borderless minimalistic color
shifts, layered with a grid of the binary code, of the medium
dissolving boundaries, but meant as a purely visual structure,
without any hidden meanings to be “revealed” only by the artist
himself. Up to this stage all elements of the image were still linear
and undistorted, beautifully boring and borderless. The image really
came about the moment I broke this uniformity by implementing a
limited distortion along the vertical axis, creating a “felt” border
or as a woman artist friend put it perfectly, producing a “borderless
			border”.
